Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 green bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 large onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Cooked white rice, for serving
Green onions for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and water until smooth. Add the sliced beef, toss to coat, and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
Stir-fry the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the green and red bell peppers, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
Combine Beef and Vegetables: Return the beef to the skillet. Add black pepper and sesame oil, and stir everything together, cooking for another 2 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
Serve: Serve the sizzling Chinese pepper steak over cooked white rice. Garnish with green onions if desired.
