Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage & Broccoli


Ingredients:

1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb (225g) smoked sausage, sliced
2 cups broccoli florets
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooked rice or quinoa, for serving
Fresh parsley for garnish

Directions:

Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.

Cook the sausage: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove sausage from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the shrimp: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the broccoli: Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp. Return the sausage and shrimp to the skillet.

Add the sauce: Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp, sausage, and broccoli. Stir well to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.

Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over cooked rice or quinoa.
